Is there a space for this on the Fact Sheet candidates fill out so the party can decide how best to  promote them?

Item 15: Describe Your Signature Put-On

Describe in detail the event(s) you are going to fabricate and please include any props you are going to include for verisimilitude (like someone giving you a hat) or characters you may wish to highlight (say, a young flower girl who dodged sniper fire with you) to add depth to your fabrication.

I guess it’s just a thing they have to do. Mafia soldiers need to kill somebody. Democrats need to make something up and continue repeating it until

  1. they believe it, and
  2. somebody checks up on them

and then demonstrate that they are True Democrats by talking their way out of it.

Let’s return, then, to those thrilling days of yesteryear, when, out of the blue of the Western Sky came a woman who, to this very day, has Her Mind Right!

What beats me is when they try to talk themselves out of it the voters still vote for them. Probably the best one ever when Hillary simply said “I misspoke [about the Bosnia snipers] because it had been a long and a hard campaign.”

Some while back they caught one of our Big Egos out and when they confronted with his lies he said “But politicians must lie; just look at American Bill Clinton. He lied under oath.”

He got away with it was voted in again. Possibly that’s why the old cliché “The voter gets what he deserves” is so appro.
