Darleen at Protein Wisdom thinks our fearless leader is a toxic personality, plain and simple, who will make your life miserable should you ever fall into his clutches. I think the same passage is more likely indicative of the fact that Barack really Hates BANKERS.
As I listened yesterday to Obama’s speech at the Coakley (1,100 in attendence) Event yesterday, I was struck by when he was actually emotionally engaged…

Now, we’ve recovered most of your money already, but I don’t think “most of your money” is good enough. We want all our money back. We’re going to collect every dime. (Applause.) That’s why I proposed a new fee on the largest financial firms — to pay the American people back for saving their skin.
The near rage that radiated out of those lines statements, statements we have heard in the week running up to the event and said with similiar barely-restrained rage seemed too familiar to me. This is not the calculated emotion of politics — a Hugo Chavez faux-populist rant while greedily nationalizing businesses. This is something more.
This is rage against those that Obama feels “owe” him. And owe him in perpetuity.
I might submit that it is not those who owe him who will feel his considerable and potent rage. It is bankers who owe him and if they don’t actually owe the country anything they still owe him. And he is going to see that they pay.
Probably just a coincidence that the person who raised Barry every time mom abandoned him because she had found something more interesting to do than kid-raising was that typical white person who was made famous shortly before she died by being brought up in Obama’s Reverend Jeremiah Wright speech, that retired bank vice-president: Granny. Granny who came home one day and said some rowdy black men on the bus had frightened her.
