The Al and Jesse extortion strategy has again proved its merit. It worked with corporate America and with a little fine-tuning it also works with the American taxpayer.

Among the [Black] caucus’ demands were greater assistance for minority-owned auto dealerships and banks that lend in African-American communities and more government advertising in minority-owned media.

The reason this works is because Washington is awash in dollars and is hard-pressed to find ways to spend them.

In a bold but risky year-end strategy, Democrats are preparing to raise the federal debt ceiling by as much as $1.8 trillion before New Year’s rather than have to face the issue again prior to the 2010 elections.

All so the United States can borrow more money to give emergency “loans” to people in order to add to the loans they have already proven they can’t repay. Oh! If you’re black it’s time to start an advertising agency.

Here’s the extortion story and Here’s the debt story. If you’re feeling very, very strong Here’s the U.S. Debt Clock.
