CNN buried what was left of its reputation as a news organization. While the project was definitely shovel-ready, it took a really creative leap to come up with the idea of fact-checking the bullet points in a comedy sketch.
If Obama has retained any sense of the ridiculous this has gotta hurt. To paraphrase Kermit the Frog, it ain’t easy being the object of a media cocoon (yes — they’d take a ratings bullet for Obama).
The only question is… are they going to follow-up with a half-hour proving that Rodney Dangerfield really got respect (“Oh, yes, I really DID respect him; and I liked what he did with his tie”).
